Growing up, Robert was exposed to  a variety of different sounds and genres ranging from Michael Jackon, Whitney Houston, TLC, Prince, Brandy, Boys II Men, & Ella Fitzgerald, to Kirk Franklin, TobyMac, Israel Houghton, Trin-i-tee 57, Mary Mary, & Group 1 Crew.  All of whom had an impact on his sound & style. 

 

No matter what genre, one thing is evident throughout all of his songs and performances, telling people about, and showing people the love of God. Through songs of vulnerability, worship, love, inspiration, and honesty, Robert is out to show that, although it may be difficult at times, living for God in 2015 is not impossible.
